We supplied a generator set to a senior centre in Madrid.

We have recently supplied a generator set to guarantee the electricity supply in the event of a mains failure in a senior centre located in Madrid.

In this case, it is a soundproofed unit of 550 kVA designed to face any unexpected event of accident.

This senior centre has 220 places available, 40 of which are destined to day care centres, as well as several rest and common areas. Needless to say that a power outage in this kind of centres may cause serious harm to residents since many are dependent persons who need continuing medical care, so it is fundamental to guarantee the electricity supply.

Medical care in these centres is a priority, and that what our customer emphasized. Thus, Genesal we looked for the most suitable solution considering the characteristics of the building and, especially, the residents’ needs.

110% load testing

Our engineering department’s solution focused on making the standard generator set fit like a glove to the place where it will be working inside the building. This genset included an upper air outlet, amongst other features.

Besides, all necessary tests were carried out, including a final test on our load bank up to 110% power aiming to verify that the equipment would work without any problem when needed.

This test is part of the exhaustive controls that Genesal Energy carries out not only customized, but also standard units, to meet the strict quality standards required by the company.

Genesal Energy guarantees emergency power to one of the UK’s major hospitals.

At Genesal Energy, we have just supplied emergency power to one of the main hospitals in the Northwest of the UK through the design, manufacture and supply of a 1100 kVA standby generator set ready to work in parallel with the mains.

The generator designed by our engineering team guarantees the continuous electricity supply and therefore, the uninterrupted operation of the hospital’s health services in the different areas.

Generator sets must be designed for a quick response – a few seconds – in the event of a mains failure or any other reason involving a power outage. This is the case of the equipment we designed for the abovementioned British hospital as its main goal is to ensure the electricity supply in all the medical care facilities, operating rooms, hospitalization plants and other health areas with the greatest precision. In addition, noise pollution has been reduced to the maximum considering the importance of peace and quiet for patients in this kind of buildings.

Our extensive experience in developing on-demand solutions for hospitals, regardless of their size and/or location, is one of Genesal Energy’s highlights both in Spain and internationally, as well as the best guarantee of the quality of our equipment.

There is a common denominator in hospitals: they treat convalescent people. This consequently implies a challenge for the company, as the safety and precision of Genesal’s equipment must reach their highest levels, especially in these buildings. “Our generator sets are designed under the premise that nothing can fail, and there cannot be any fissures in the process. It is fundamental for every unit that leaves the factory to be extremely reliable so that energy is provided quickly and with the necessary power”, our R+D+I department stated.

Genesal Energy has supplied the whole emergency network for the Hospital de Emergencias Enfermera Isabel Zendal.

Built by the Community of Madrid in Valdebebas, through the design, manufacture and supply of two large emergency generator sets of 2.500 kVA.

The hospital complex, located near the Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas airport, has been built to combat covid-19 and its concept is based on the field hospital opened last March in Ifema. The Isabel Zendal hospital also features multipurpose treatment rooms which can be used as operating rooms or outpatient surgery rooms.

The complex contains 48 ICUs and a thousand beds, distributed in three wards of 7.400 square metres each. Due to its own characteristics, the pandemic hospital required a high capacity emergency network so that, facing a possible mains failure, the medical equipment and treatment would not be affected.

Genesal Energy consolidates its position in the health sector with high precision gensets for large hospitals

The Galician company increases its national presence with emergency gensets for the new hospitals in Cuenca and Guadalajara.

The design of highly reliable gensets, which allow to continue tending to patients even in the event of a mains failure, is of maximum priority when it comes to supplying emergency gensets to any hospital, and this is a field in which Genesal Energy has reinforced its presence in recent years both nationally and internationally. The very nature of these facilities calls for customised units, and behind each one is a complex engineering development.

The Galician company has consolidated its presence in Spain through new projects carried out hand in hand with Imoel, a company which has specialised in the electricity sector for over 35 years, and which has trusted in Genesal since 2009 for delicate projects such as the expansion of the Guadalajara hospital, where it will supply two 1,500/1,650 kVA gensets, and Cuenca’s new hospital, which while still in its construction phase, will be a magnificent hospital complex with 12 buildings for which Genesal Energy was in charge of designing, manufacturing and supplying three 1,400/1,540 kVA emergency gensets.

Maximum reliability

Both hospitals will include soundproof gensets which were completely tailor-made for the client, and therefore, adapted to the requirements of the buildings in which they will be installed, completely prepared to face any potential incident.

In this sense, all five gensets have a common denominator: to guarantee power supply at all times, as in hospital complexes, any failure in the mains supply can cause serious problems, both for the medical equipment -which nowadays is highly technological, especially in emergency and operating rooms- and the patients alike.

A reference company, both nationally and internationally

Genesal Energy’s participation in these projects is part of the company’s major focus on the health sector, where it’s increased its presence in recent years both nationally and internationally, through the supply of emergency power to hospitals such as the Quito-Sur Hospital, the largest and most modern in Ecuador, a country in which the Galician company is one of th reference brands.
