The best way to avoid disturbance is by avoiding making any noise. Soundproof generator sets are machines that generate electricity and have been designed to operate silently without losing power.
Soundproof generator sets are part of a range that is increasingly in demand as more and more customers no longer consider reduction of noise emissions as a possibility, but a part of their list of requirements.
This type of generator set is built with an acoustic isolation cabin that reduces the noise generated by the engine, the alternator, and the fan. Some models also incorporate a vibration damping system to further reduce noise.
Soundproofed generator sets are widely used in applications where silent operation is required: hospitals, health centres, hotels, office buildings, etc. They are also increasingly used at outdoor events where electricity is required, without disturbing the attendees. In these cases, conventional generator sets, which are noisier, are not an ideal solution.
Designed for projects in which the sound level emitted by the machine is a key or critical feature of the project. This would be the case for places such as residential areas, hospitals, health clinics, care homes for the elderly, hotels, etc.
The starting point is the acoustic pressures or powers emitted by the soundproof generator when it is open. Next, our engineers create a special enclosure, using different materials to attenuate the sound emitted by the machine in order to reach the required level.
Adding sound-absorbing materials to the enclosure walls (sound-absorbing foams, rock wool, sound-absorption sheets…) as well as noise traps or baffles: these are just some of the solutions that can be applied in order to meet the project’s needs.
Depending on the sound pressure sought, we can start with a standard enclosure and add extra noise traps or external baffles to the enclosure; when a higher level of attenuation is required, we come up with a fully bespoke project design.
