In the engineering side we had to consider various needs.

On the one hand, and due to the unusual location of the genset inside a building in the middle of Madrid, it was necessary to ensure a genset design solution which met with the local regulations pertaining to legally permitted acoustic levels. Genesal’s engineering department proposed the manufacture of a specially built genset to comply with Madrid’s legally permitted acoustic levels. This involved several key design aspects such as extra thick walls on the genset enclosure, silencers integrated in to the air intake and exhaust systems, as well as sound proofing the base frame. This led to the development of a one piece completely enclosed mono block. Additionally Genesal went a step further and researching the need for added silent block anti-vibration parts to the standard number used in manufacture, to eliminate residual vibrations that may increase the noise output.

This was not the only consideration. Genesal’s engineers correctly assumed that the complexity of the location required a unique fuel transfer and control system for the loads to be handled by the genset. This required a fuel tank to be situated in the basement of the building, and a controlled transfer method to be installed. A special alternator was added to guarantee very high stability at different frequencies regardless of the genset load levels, with an added electronic engine speed control unit (ECU) to ensure continuous stability.

  • Extra addition of silent blocks to add to those mounted between the bench frame and the engine-alternator mono block, in order to eliminate any residual vibrations once installed in the building interior.

Fernando Cueto, managing director of GENESAL ENERGY, receives the Ejecutivos INTERNATIONALIZATION award at the Círculo de Empresarios de Galicia.

GENESAL ENERGY has been awarded for its international strategy at the 6th edition of the “Ejecutivos ” Galicia Awards. Fernando Cueto, managing director, received the award in an event celebrated yesterday evening at the Circulo de Empresarios de Galicia, situated in Vigo, where personalities from the politic, business and social world of the Galician community gathered.

Ejecutivos magazine rewards with this awards the excellence in their work of companies, executives an institutions of Galicia, whom with their efforts and dedication contribute to the development of the region. Regarding GENESAL ENERGY, this award is a recognition to its international strategy, which has been implemented since its constitution. The key factor to this strategy has been the research and the profound knowledge of the markets where it is present, with the objective of choosing the best combination of products for the target customer in each country.

Genesal Energy introduce its range of genset at the XXXV Expo Feria Internacional in Paraguay

Genesal Energy will be present at the XXXV Expo Feria Internacional de Paraguay, the biggest trade show about industry, commerce, stockbreeding and services of the country, and one of the most important of the region due to the presence of companies, industries, and national and international official entities. The event will be held from the 2nd to the 17th of July, in which 39 companies and professional associations will show their products.

During the 16 days the trade show last, GENESAL ENERGY, situated in the ITALO-PARAGUAYO pavilion, will show their visitors their range of generating sets. Also this will be an excellent opportunity to learn about the necessities of the customers of country, as well as to strengthen the relation with our partners in the area.

Special configuration: Working in parallel depending on the power requirements of the factory.

Objective

To provide a safe, permanent power supply. The public grid will cover any possible emergencies in exceptional situations when the generator plant comes to a complete halt.

Solution

Based on the loads and the operating system of the plant, a solution was adopted using installations of 6×2,500 kVA working in parallel, with one unit always in reserve. The equipment is rotated according to the number of operating hours.

After the inauguration of the GENESAL ENERGY TRAINING CENTER, we move the “GENESAL ENERGY gensets business days” to Mexico City, with the support of our branch in the country, BAUER GT MEXICO.

People from a total of 30 companies, from different areas as construction, engineering, electric installation… And interested in our power generation solutions and knowing how to select the right generator for each application, were present in this event, which was given by our Chief Export Officer, Mr. Juan Yañez, and Iago Crespo, Bauer GT Mexico General Manager.

All the people attending remark the necessity of this kind of actions to help and support the professionals of the Mexican energy sector.

The regional minister of Economy, Employment and Industry, Francisco Conde, visited the Genesal Energy facilities sited in the industrial park of Bergondo (A Coruña, Spain). The minister was welcomed by Fernando Cueto, managing director, and the rest of the board members of the company.

Genesal Energy is an industrial group dedicated to the distributed energy sector, with international presence, and a total focus and commitment on being the most technological in the field. With this in mind, the Technology Center for Distributed Energy (CETED® in Spanish) was opened this Wednesday. The CETED®, of independent and private initiative and the only one on its sector, was born to focus all the R&D&I effort made by Genesal Energy after the success of several innovation projects, and under the necessity of developing more effective R&D&I policies.

The regional minister, during its tour, has known from firsthand the differents business arear in which Genesal Energy is involved, from the design, manufacturing and commercialization of the gensets (standard units as well as special projects with a high degree of engineering and totally customised), to the technical support and after-sales service that this equipment need.

During this event, we also had the presence of the Mayor of Bergondo, Alejandra Pérez, and the municipal corporation.

For the fourth year in a row, GENESAL ENERGY participated in the Middle East Electricity, one of the biggest trade shows in electricity field around the world, which receives more than 22.000 visitors each year, and the reference for the electricity sector in the GCC countries.

In our stand we received customers and collaborators form countries such as United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Pakistan, Ethiopia… which has strengthen our international focus, our positioning as a quality manufacturer and reinforcing our relations with our previous customers as well as with new ones.

Genesal Energy opens the Genesal Energy Training Center

TRAINING CENTER

GENESAL ENERGY opens in its facilities in Bergondo, the Genesal Energy Training Center, a training facility to give technical qualification courses for its own employees and authorized dealers, as well as customers that need training to operate and maintain power generators.

During this week, the first training program in operations and maintenance will take place with the presence of technical professionals from Panama, Chile, Portugal and Spain. The objective of this course is to introduce the new tools available for to improve the maintenance operations, both corrective and preventive.

As a plus, our students will be able to know the facilities of the GENESAL ENERGY Group, the Genesal Energy factory, where our top quality generators are design and manufacture, the CETED (Distributed Energy Tech Center) where the R+D+i and special engineering takes place, and also the after-sales department.

Genesal Energy awarded at the “Galicia Energía” awards, under the innovation category

GENESAL ENERGY has been awarded for the best innovation project at the Galicia Energia Awards for its Hybrid Microgeneration project. This awards are organized by the Galician Industrial Engineers Association (AIIG) in collaboration with the Official Industrial Enginners Association of Galica (ICOIIG). These awards recognized the most prominent companies and people from Galicia over the last year in the energy field.

The Hybrid Microgeneration project consist in generating set especially design for the electrical supply in isolated areas where there is no mains available, combining different renewable energy sources, like wind and solar, and a battery system to store the surplus, for a reliable, efficient and eco-friendly solution.
