Emergency power for an office complex in France

A 440 kVA generator set designed by our engineering team will guarantee the energy supply in a large office complex in France in the event of a mains failure.

This project consolidates Genesal Energy’s commitment to internationalization as a key factor in its growth.

In this case, the project consisted of designing and manufacturing a generator set capable of supplying continuous energy in the event of any incident or anomalous situation, such as a blackout or any other mains failure.

In this kind of facilities – office buildings – it is necessary to carry out a detailed study of the genset’s location to offer the most suitable technical solution aiming to face an emergency situation safely. High reliability and a low noise level were key aspects during the manufacturing process, as the generator set had to work in a place where people’s movement is constant – it is an office area.

Genesal’s adaptive capacity materialised in a soundproof 440 kVA generator set mounted in a 4500 mm canopy, including an integrated fuel tank adapted to the capacity required by the client. Both genset’s installation and operational framework were carried out by our engineers in order to avoid complications.

Expansion plan

The emergency power supply for this office complex is part of our expansion policy in the French market, having detected its specific needs and provided a solution accordingly.

In this sense, one of the latest projects related to France led us to Ghana, where we supplied one of the main French engineering and construction companies with two symmetrical generating sets, prepared to work in parallel, in order to reinforce the safety of a large bitumen – an essential material for the production of asphalt agglomerate – manufacturing plant.

As in the case of the factory in Ghana, we complied with the French and UE regulations, as EU member countries have always been very present in the internationalization plans of our company.

Our international vocation is reflected in the presence of our products in more than 30 countries – 70% of our production is destined to exports. In this strategy, France plays an important role, and so does our unconditional commitment to the United Nation’s Agenda 2030 and the use of renewable energies.

Features

  • 4500 mm soundproof canopy including a fuel tank adapted to the fuel transfer system of the client.

We supplied emergency power to the Catalan Water Agency (ACA)

The Catalan Water Agency (ACA), a public corporation affiliated with the Government of Catalonia in charge of managing this autonomous community’s water cycle, has trusted in Genesal Energy to supply emergency power to its headquarters in Barcelona, a rennovated building built in the 70s with the capacity for holding 405 members of staff.

The generator set designed by our team of engineers was custom-made according to the requirements of the ACA’s management who requested, amongst other specifications, high levels of sound attenuation and specific dimensions as the genset would be operating in a basement without ventilation, a circumstance which called for the design of a generator set with special cooling devices.

The engine, a challenge

To achieve this, two sheet exchangers were installed for the engine liquids, one for the air, one for the water, mounted onto the base frame and connected to the engine and a vertical pump to push the cooling water from the genset’s location to the remote cooler located on the roof.

Substituting the engine’s original components for bespoke ones, its connection and later testing to ensure the correct operation of the generator set, was the main challenge for our Engineering department. Furthermore, based on the client’s indications, at Genesal Energy we designed air silencers fitting the generator set’s installation room.

Features

  • 300L fuel tank + 620L optional tank.
  • Remote cooling located on roof.
  • Air-water charge exchangers water-water exchangers for engine cooling.
  • Vertical pump.
  • Air outlet silencers.

We’ve supplied emergency power to one of the most luxurious business centres in Manchester

At Genesal Energy we’ve supplied emergency power to one of the most luxurious business centres in Great Britain, located in Manchester, one of England’s most important cities.

Protecting business centres against possible mains failures is essential to guarantee their correct operation, as meetings, events and other activities pertaining to the business world are carried out inside.

Upon analyzing the business centre, which has offices, meeting rooms and a high capacity training centre, and having listened to our client’s needs, we manufactured and supplied a 2250 kVA generator set prepared to operate in parallel with the mains. The genset was designed made-to-measure, and had to also comply with low sound emissions.

Features

  • 2000L double-walled fuel tank installed in its own independent room inside the container.
  • Genset designed to achieve 85 dBA@1m.
  • Deep Sea control panel prepared for parallel to mains operation and a motorized breaker.
  • Power cabinet with busbar for the power cables, which were connected up to a protection box prepared to withstand corrosion on the outside of the container, to which the client would connect the necessary power busbar.

Design and customisation of one of our generator set’s canopies according to our client’s requirements

Another great achievement by our distributors over in the UK

We have provided a soundproofed 500/550 kVA generator set intended to supply emergency power to one of the country’s Justice administration buildings.

It’s a generator set with a Scania engine and Mecc Alte alternator, installed inside a canopy adapted to the client’s needs, with a special colour and link box.

Features

  • Deep Sea 7310 control panel prepared for startup via external command.
  • 730 L bunded fuel tank, complying with UK norms.
  • Soundproof canopy adapted to the client’s requirements regarding paint colour.
  • Completely customised link box, designed according to the installation’s cables, to be connected up to the genset by the client.

Specialised generator set for a business center in Sweden

We take the best energy to Sweden.

Europe is a strategic market and one of our latest projects has taken us to Sweden, a country in which we’ve consolidated our position thanks to, in great part, the gensets from our Low Temperatures range –prepared to operate in especially adverse conditions with thermometers hitting below zero-.

In this case, the client’s order was different. It consisted in providing a genset specially designed to operate in parallel to mains in an office building. The project was materialized in a 150-165 kVA genset capable of providing emergency power in the event of a mains failure and ensuring that nothing fails and that everything is in order, from the cooling to the lighting system.

Features

  • 1,700 L fuel tank integrated in the baseframe including a leakage tray with capacity for 110% the fuel tank’s capacity.
  • Parallel to mains with ATS integrated in the genset’s control panel.
