Genesal Energy powers a Data Center in Seville

Data centres allow companies and users to quickly access data essential to avoid setbacks in our daily lives.

They store all the online information, from bank accounts to medical records, messaging services or web search engines.

These facilities have a high energy demand not only for normal operation but also for its cooling systems. It is vital to maintain an optimum temperature of around 20°C to ensure the proper performance of the servers. The slightest interruption in the power supply could paralyse all the activities of a company and cause significant economic losses. Reliable power supply is always a priority.

Redundant supply sources are used to ensure operational continuity in the event of any power interruption. Genesal Energy designs equipment specifically for these vital installations. Efficient and specialised solutions designed to guarantee the constant availability of electricity, capable of maintaining the uneventful operation Data Processing Centres (DPC) avoiding costly setbacks.

Installing and relocating, the great challenges

Genesal Energy is a benchmark company in the design, manufacture and commissioning of emergency units for data centres. We have been committed to their development from the very beginning as they are key installations in the digital transformation process.

One of our new engineering solutions for this sector has taken us to Andalusia, to Seville, where we have installed a turnkey emergency unit for a data centre to which we had already supplied two units.

On this occasion, the client not only needed to reinforce its emergency network, but also to relocate the two groups that were already operating. The difficulty of the project lay in the installation of three groups, which implied an important task of coordination with the other companies present on site to carry out the work in an orderly manner.

After finishing the installation of the generator sets and the fuel tank, we installed the fuel lines and proceeded to install structures to support exhaust gas silencers, mount them and the corresponding chimneys…
