GENESAL ENERGY has been, since its establishment, a company concerned with the environment, and to demonstrate this, it started in 2010 its activities in the field of corporate social responsibility (CSR) with the implementation of the Environmental Management System certificated by ISO 14001. Since that day, and following our commintment with the planet, we continued working on this matter, and on 2012 we  joined the UN Global Compact. This pact is the biggest volunteer corporate social responsibility iniciative of the planet and it makes a practical framework to develop, introduce and communicate policies and practicies of corporate social reponsibility.

The Global Compact promotes the implementation of Ten Principles universally accepted to promote the corporate social responsibility in the fields of Human Rights, Labour Regulations, Environment protection and Fight against Corruption, in all activities and business strategies of the companies. To achieve these, from GENESAL ENERGY we periodically make a CSR report on which we detailled our advances on this fields, and that is presented to the UN for validation.

Since the implementation of the GENESAL ENERGY Ethics Code, that articulates and complements our social commitment with the Ten Principles, this company has always cared for its compliance, involving all the staff, and other stakeholders. In addition to that, we continue to work and develop products  with less and less impact on our environment.

For all of this, GENESAL ENERGY has renewed the commitment with the UN Global Compact and its Ten Principles, in which:

• GENESAL ENERGY supports the UN Global Compact an its Ten Principles.
• GENESAL ENERGY respects and protects the Human Rights Declaration.
• GENESAL ENERGY supports the elimination of any kind of forced labour.
• GENESAL ENERGY supports and works for the development and dissemination of more eco-friendly new technologies.
• GENESAL ENERGY is actively involved in the fight against corruption.

With the renewal of our commitment with the UN Global Compact, we continue working, not only in providing energy to any place in the world, also to achieve that our work leaves the less impact possible on our environment and the inhabitants of the planet.

GENESAL ENERGY, the Spanish multinational corporation,  has been bestowed the “Somos Internacionales” award at the “Somos Empresa Awards Gala” celebrated last Friday, in recognition for its international drive. The “Somos Empresa Awards” is an initiative of Banco Popular, in cooperation with the Spanish daily EL PAIS and radio broadcaster CADENA SER.

The Jury was integrated by professionals coming from the fields of management, banking, media and business schools. The jury pondered the international drive of GENESAL ENERGY, its ability to export its products worldwide, and its corporate strategy based on the “3 i”: industry, innovation and internationalization.

This last “i” made GENESAL ENERGY the growing multinational corporation it has become, with its own sales delegations in Peru, Panama, Mexico and the United Arab Emirates, and products in more than 30 countries in 5 continents.

Fernando Cueto, General Manager at GENESAL ENERGY, expressed its gratitude to the organizers and praised all the finalists at the Awards, who “have shared the same commitment, determination and enthusiasm than Genesal Energy in competing for these awards”.

On Wednesday 2 the finalists were announced at the “Somos empresa” awards (“We are enterprise”) organized by the Banco Popular in collaboration with the newspaper El País and radio station Cadena Ser, where Genesal Energy has been selected as a finalist in the category “Somos Internacionales” (“We are International”) which recognize Genesal Energy as one of the three most international SMEs in Spain.

This nomination values the internationalization strategy of the company, which has led them to open branches in Peru, Panama, Mexico and the United Arab Emirates; and nowadays their products can be found in over 30 countries in 5 continents.

The winner will be announced on October 2.

On Monday 15 of June, GENESAL ENERGY has been awarded with the PYME INTERNACIONALIZACIÓN award at the 1º Mi Negocio Awards organized by La Voz de Galicia and Banco Pastor, as a reward to its strategic international expansion, which has led it to be present in Peru, Panama, México and United Arab Emirates.

These awards, that were given at the Voz de Galicia facilities in Arteixo (La Coruña), in the presence of Alberto Núñez Feijoo, president of the Xunta de Galicia, among other personalities; are focused to highlight and promote the important work of the Galician SMEs in different fields.

During the acceptance speech, Juilo C. Arca Ruibal, CSFO of GENESAL ENERGY, emphasized the hard work of the whole company staff, especially the international department, who are directly responsible of the big growth of the company outside the Spanish borders.
