We are therefore strengthening our focus on this sector with the appointment of Pedro Pablo Laina Marco as Data Centre Business Director for Iberia, one of our key strategic growth areas.

His role will be to lead the development of this business unit and further establish Genesal Energy as a leading technology and industrial partner within the data centre ecosystem, bringing to the sector the experience, technical expertise and industrial capabilities we have built up over decades of designing, manufacturing and implementing power generation solutions for critical infrastructure and international projects.

Pedro Pablo holds a degree in Industrial Technical Engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and a degree in Business Administration and Management from the Universidad de Alcalá de Henares. Over a career spanning more than 25 years, he has worked across information technology, critical infrastructure and business development, leading teams and projects at major international companies.

With this appointment, we are taking another step forward in our commitment to a market in which we will continue to invest in innovation and the development of new capabilities.

His professional background includes European multinationals such as Siemens and The Phone House, US companies including General Electric and Johnson Controls, Asian technology groups such as Huawei, and Spanish companies including IECISA.
