In compliance with emission regulations, the Stage V engine range incorporates the most advanced technology to provide cleaner and fully reliable energy. This work is carried out from our Distributed Energy Technology Center (CETED), the R&D&I space where we conceive innovative and custom-designed generator sets.
What is STAGE V?
For years, the European Union has set limits on emissions of gases and particulate pollutants. With the aim of improving air quality, the European Parliament and the European Council tightened restrictions in 2016 on internal combustion engines installed in non-road mobile machinery, which also includes generator sets.
The European Emission Standards for Machinery (NRMM) 2016/1628/CE or Stage V regulation, came into effect on January 1, 2019, requiring the implementation of an appropriate exhaust gas after-treatment strategy to control and measure engine emissions.

Stage V Rental
Our range of Stage V rental generator sets ensures robustness, reliability, great autonomy, and ease of operation and maintenance, integrating all the necessary elements to comply with current emission regulations. All assembled in a compact, highly soundproofed body and a skid-type base, specially designed for the harsh working conditions on site.
Multiple plug configurations are available to adapt the power output to the needs of each project, fully integrated into the bodywork with differential and thermal-magnetic protection.

- Different mobility options, drag skids, lifting hooks, or via forklift.
- Easy access to the exhaust gas after-treatment system for maintenance, including: EGR, DPF, DOC, SCR, and urea injection, depending on the engine manufacturer and power.
- External socket panel protected against impacts, with IP67, protections, and the possibility of various configurations on demand. Low pollutant emissions and reduced fuel consumption.
- Standard control panel with manual start and optionally configurable in automatic mode (in case of a grid failure).
- Optional control panel for parallel operation with another unit or with the electrical grid.
- The control unit has a display screen for group and grid parameters, recording incidents (up to 350 events).
- Arrangement of air inlets and outlets to minimize noise.
- Multiple options: fuel transfer pump, group color different from the standard, interior lighting, construction-type trailer or road-approved, removable doors…
- Low emissions, according to Stage V regulations.
- After-treatment systems integrated into the cabin with easy access for maintenance.
- Urea and fuel tanks integrated into the base.

Our Stage V industrial range, both in its open and soundproofed version, is characterized by the integration of exhaust gas after-treatment systems, in a compact way and facilitating access for inspection and maintenance tasks. They stand out for their low fuel consumption and the rest of the inherent characteristics that are maintained compared to traditional ranges, low acoustic emissions for soundproofed versions, compact design, and a multitude of options available to adapt the equipment to your installation.

What characterizes STAGE V equipment?
Unlike generator sets exempt from complying with the regulations, such as stationary installed emergency ones, Stage V equipment incorporates all the necessary technical solutions to contain emission levels.
DOC (Diesel Oxidation Catalyst)
Diesel oxidation catalyst specifically designed to reduce emissions of carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbons (HC), and particulate matter (PM) by converting the harmful components of exhaust gases into carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O).
DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter)
Particulate filter that retains the pollutant particles present in the exhaust gases commonly known as soot.
SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction)
Selective catalytic reduction process that optimizes combustion processes by chemically reducing nitrogen oxides (NO x ) present in exhaust gases.
EGR (Exhaust gas recirculation)
Recirculation or redirection of part of the exhaust gases to reduce the nitrogen oxide (NO x ) content of the exhaust gases. This system is usually used in combination with DOC or DPF aftertreatment systems, thus reducing particulate emissions.
