We bring energy to Kenya

Only a 25% of the African population has access to a safe electrical supply. This percentage significantly increases in Kenya, where a 40% of the population benefits from it. These meagre percentages show the dramatic situation of a continent where basic conditions are not guaranteed for most and where energy, one of the human development indicators, is still a scarce commodity.

Africa has always been a special continent for Genesal Energy and that is why we never miss an opportunity to contribute towards its developing. How? Doing what we do best, bolstering and implementing projects which generate wealth and help creating a better future.

Our experience securing electrical supply in the innermost and most faraway places is our strength in the African countries because our tailor-made generator sets are prepared to withstand the hardest orographic and climatic features.

They have done so in Gambia, Guinea Bissau or Guinea Conakry, countries where we have designed bespoke generators to supply power to several substations. And we have done it again in Kenya, where we have just supplied emergency backup power to a Power Plant and its ancillary services.

  • Where:

    KENYA

  • Customer´s needs:

Emergency power supply for a Power Plant & ancillary services.

Maximum reliability

The generator set supplied ticks all the boxes of a special set. It was tailor made for the Powerhouse needs. It was a matter of supplying backup power to a public facility located in a remote area. Maximum reliability was needed as the main, ancillary and security systems had to be able to keep running smoothly in the event of a power outage.

“We provided a very special solution, a compact soundproofed set adapted to the premises in which it works”, declares the Engineering Department.

In developing this project for Kenya, we tried to answer to some of its great energy needs and to cooperate in the development of one of the countries with greatest growth potential but with, still, high poverty and social exclusion levels.
