We supply an emergency generator set with an anti-seismic system to the Carrasco electrical substation (Bolivia)

The Carrasco electrical substation in Cochabamba (Bolivia) is one of our latest projects in this country with an anti-seismic system as a good example of high engineering.

For the Carrasco electrical substation, the client needed equipment with very specific requirements, as the installation is located in a sensitive area, quite vulnerable to earthquakes. To address this possibility and prevent a catastrophe, our engineering team conducted a thorough study after listening to the client and analyzing the terrain where the generator set was to be installed.

Once all the information was gathered, Genesal Energy manufactured a very precise generator set, with all the special systems necessary to protect the Carrasco electrical substation. The result is equipment that features, among other characteristics, anti-seismic pads and spring pads between the base and the ground. A duct for cooling air outlet and a 1,700-liter tank - reinforced in this case to meet anti-seismic regulations - are other features of the generator set whose purpose is to prevent failures in the power grid that supplies thousands of inhabitants.
