The Gastroenterology Hospital of La Paz, in Bolivia, will be the first \u2018Level 4\u2019 Hospital in the country and is set to be a benchmark in all of South America.<\/h2>\n

Still under construction, the building is located at an altitude of 3,600 metres above sea level and will provide the most advanced comprehensive care for gastric disorders thanks to 14 sub-specialties and a staff of more than 600 people.<\/p>\n

To ensure the safety of the health complex, its management commissioned us to design an emergency generator for hospitals<\/a> set tailored to their needs. La Paz being the highest large-city on the planet – 3,640 metres above sea level – the generators had to be designed considering such extreme conditions.<\/p>\n

Continuous supply of electricity is always important, but when it comes to hospitals, it is vital. Only top-quality, robust and 100% reliable equipment can guarantee the safety of patients, staff and infrastructure.<\/p>\n

Critical spaces such as operating rooms, intensive care units, emergency rooms and laboratories must always have electrical power, as well as all their lighting, security and communication systems running. These are sensitive spaces that must be examined to the millimetre before starting the design of the equipment to cope with a grid failure.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n
