At a sector level
Generator set sector: since the beginning of 2021, we’re part of EuropGen, the European Generator Set Association. This entity is a space where the main brands in the sector can get together to reflect, share knowledge and propell the future of generator sets.
Circular economy: we’re boosting its development through our active participation in the Galician Cluster of Environmental Solutions and Circular Economy (VIRATEC) whose objective is to contribute to the economic and social development of Galicia through diverse actions.
The application of technology to the rational use of natural resources. The reduction of impact generated by the exploitation of said resources in the entire value chain
The reduction of impact created by human, industrial and service actions due to consequences derived from the generation of waste and consequent exhaustion of natural resources, within the framework of circular economy and sustainable development, is part of its strategy.
Renewable power: change is one of society’s main concerns and this is reflected in the rise of renewable power. We share this environmental awareness and put it into practice through example. That’s why we joined Cluergal, the Galician Renewable Energy Cluster. Its focus on power sustainability is the same as ours. It’s a great challenge and must be faced collectively.
Mechatronic industry: we’re part of Galicia’s Metal Industry and Associated Technologies Association (Asime), comprised of over 600 companies in representation of different activities (metallurgy, aeronautical, marine energy…).
Its main value is the corporate and individual defense of the common interests of its associates in fields such as: occupational health and safety, law, quality and environment, external commerce, training, orientation and hiring, and information and communication technologies.
At a corporate level
Corporate carbon footprint: footprint: a project has begun, with the support of the Santiago de Compostela University’s Sustainable Processes Engineering and Management (PRODES) investigative team, with the objective of establishing a methodology for the determination of GENESAL ENERGY’s Corporate Carbon Footprint.

Stage V: aiming for an improved air quality is of extreme importance globally and Europe hasn’t stayed on the sidelines. European regulations are increasingly more strict with regard to polluting emissions and it limits the use of hazardous substances in the exhaust fumes originating from engines which operate with fossil fuels. With these new regulations, the standard of generator set efficiency is known as Stage V. At Genesal Energy we’re conscious of what this challenge entails and, for this reason, our new generator set range contains Stage V engines, for both mobile and stationary applications, according to the emission criteria established in the regulations.
